River lights

We went to San Antonio for the Christmas Riverwalk lighting. Our hotel room had a great balcony overlooking the river, so we were able to see the lights and boat parade without the big crowds. We ate at Mi Tierra and walked around the Marketplace, then made it up to our room in time for the girls to get a bubble bath and eat dinner before the lights. It was fun for the whole family...but it was a little too exhausting for Charlotte!

The great thing about being away from home...when we returned, they spent hours playing quietly in their room together with all their missed toys and dolls!

Thanksgiving

We went to Corpus Christi to be with family for Thanksgiving. The time the girls spend with their cousins and second cousins is so precious since it only happens a couple times each year. Mimi and Pa Pa's house always provides plenty of fun...fishing, bikes, swings, games, and lots of hugs. As the day goes on, the house gets more and more family, friends, and food. It always begins with fishing and ends with a poker game.

Grace added a 16-inch speckled trout to our catch!

New Museum

The Museum of Science and History just finished it's beautiful remodel and we were there for the opening weekend. The girls really enjoyed the Children's museum and the Planetarium (especially since Mr. Rogers visited the Planetarium this week). We decided to become members since there is so much to do there. We can't wait to go back!

Rolling over

Charlotte rolled over yesterday! It wasn't from her tummy to her back...she decided to be different and roll from her back to her tummy first. I'll have to keep my eye on this one!

Zoo days

The weather has been nice this month, so we've been able to go to the zoo each week. We bring our lunch and just stay for a few hours, but it's enough to make each of us tired. They take turns getting to choose which animals we go see first. Madeline likes the lions and tigers, and Grace chooses the elephants or penguins, even though the favorite for both are the meerkats.

3 months

Charlotte is 3 months today! She is sleeping 5-6 hour stretches at night and is taking several naps throughout the day, when her loud sisters allow. She loves to have face-to-face time, and is quick to smile when she's talked to. She's trying to roll from her tummy to back, but isn't quite strong enough to make it yet...it won't be long!

We met some friends today for a fall scavenger hunt then played at the park...it was a great morning. Charlotte took another nap!
