Orlando

We met the Millers in Orlando for a joint family vacation. We spent the week at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Sea World, and 2 days at the resort pools. It was a wonderful trip, and as always with the Millers, we spent most of the time laughing.

First Harvest

Our first harvest of the summer included 5 cherry tomatoes, one jalapeno, and 3 strawberries. Our broccoli is getting big, the swiss chard is tall, and roma tomatoes are close to ripe...so far it's looking better than last year!

Our summer yard

Every afternoon you can find us playing in our front or back yard. The sprinklers is how the girls cool off on the weekdays, until Daddy can set up the "big big slide" on the weekend.

Ripped seams and rot forced us to throw out the "big big slide" we had for the past 3 summers, so this is our new replacement. Grace requested queso and chicken wings to celebrate the first swim. I think we're raising a redneck.

California

We flew to California earlier this month to be with family, and as usual, packed in as much as we could. Aside from spending a day in San Francisco and a 2-night Napa get-away for Sam and I, we stayed in the Sacramento area doing our best to keep the kids entertained. One of the highlights for them was finally spending time with their cousin, Abel!

Madeline is 3!

We celebrated Madeline's 3rd birthday in with family in Sacramento with a train ride along the river, Mexican food, cake, and a pinata. She's been asking if she's still 3 ever since.
